Two Ways D-8608 Is Integrated
In an industrial operator station, D-8608 provides keyboard and cursor control directly at the workstation, keeping both functions within easy reach of the operator.
For an industrial control cabinet, the front-mounted design allows the keyboard to become part of the equipment surface, providing a dedicated input point without adding a separate desktop keyboard or mouse.

Know Before You Choose
Review these practical considerations for touchpad operation, glove use, key feel and installation before selecting D-8608.
Touchpad & Glove Use
Thin nitrile, latex and ESD gloves can generally be used with the capacitive touchpad. Touch sensitivity may decrease with thicker materials such as insulated, leather or heavily padded gloves, so glove compatibility should be checked for the intended application.
Water on the Touchpad
The front surface is protected against water exposure, but standing water on the touchpad may affect cursor accuracy. Wipe the touchpad surface dry before normal operation.
Panel Sealing
The IP65 rating applies to the front surface. Proper panel mounting and sealing are still required to protect the complete equipment installation from water and dust.
Key Feel & Typing Force
The metal keys require more force to press than a standard office keyboard. This firmer key feel is normal for this type of industrial stainless steel keyboard and should be considered if frequent or extended typing is required.
