Product introduction
Full Keyboard Input Without a Pointing Device
Not every industrial control system needs a built-in mouse or pointing device. For equipment operated mainly through keyboard commands, numerical inputs and software shortcuts, a conventional keyboard layout can be the more practical choice.
D-8625 allows operators to work with familiar keyboard controls while leaving cursor navigation to a separate device or touchscreen when needed. This makes it suitable for machinery, test equipment and control systems where keyboard input plays the primary role.

Product features
Built for Industrial Equipment Integration
D-8625 combines durable metal construction with flexible mounting and customization options, allowing equipment manufacturers to adapt the keyboard to different control panel designs and operating requirements.
Durable Stainless Steel Construction
The 304 stainless steel front panel and metal keys withstand frequent handling and everyday wear, providing a robust input surface for industrial machinery and control systems.
IP65 Front-Surface Protection
The IP65-rated front surface helps protect the keyboard against dust and water exposure encountered during normal industrial operation. The rear assembly requires separate protection within the equipment enclosure.
Front & Rear Panel-Mount Options
D-8625 comes with a rear panel-mount design as standard, but a front panel-mount version can also be customized to suit different equipment structures and installation requirements.
Custom Key Legends & Layouts
Key legends, symbols and keyboard layouts can be customized to match specific equipment functions and operator requirements, helping manufacturers create a more suitable input interface for their control systems.

D-8625 in Real Equipment Installations
From indoor testing equipment to outdoor truck weighing terminals, these installations show how D-8625 can provide physical keyboard input in different equipment designs.

Keyboard Input for Different Operating Tasks
In the industrial test cabinet, D-8625 is built into the operator station below the display, providing a dedicated keyboard for data entry and system operation.
At the automated truck weighbridge terminal, the keyboard is positioned for drivers or site personnel to enter information directly at the weighing station, alongside the terminal's other controls.

Selection notes
Practical Considerations for Daily Use
Understand the keyboard's typing characteristics, operating conditions, system compatibility and cleaning requirements before integrating D-8625 into your equipment.
Key Pressing Force
The metal keys require more pressing force than those on a typical office keyboard. Operators who perform frequent or prolonged typing should consider this difference in key feel before selecting the product.
Operating Environment
D-8625 is intended for industrial equipment installed in relatively clean and controlled environments. It is not recommended for locations with heavy oil contamination, persistent moisture, corrosive chemicals or direct exposure to harsh outdoor conditions.
System Compatibility
Although D-8625 supports standard USB or PS/2 connections, compatibility with older industrial computers, embedded operating systems or customized control software should be verified before ordering. Sample testing is recommended for non-standard systems.
Cleaning Restrictions
Clean the keyboard using a soft, slightly damp cloth and a suitable mild cleaning agent. Avoid abrasive cleaners, strong solvents, high-pressure water jets or immersing the keyboard in liquid, as these may damage the surface finish or internal components.
