Project Background
A Russian ATM maintenance company needed replacement input components for equipment that remained in service. Changes in access to the original European suppliers had created a spare-parts gap, while the existing ATM controllers and maintenance software still needed support.
The keypad is used by service engineers for diagnostics, configuration, software maintenance, component replacement, functional checks and fault finding. It belongs to the technician service interface; it is not the cardholder PIN-entry keypad.

The Challenge
The replacement had to work within the established ATM maintenance system. Changing the host controller or rewriting maintenance software would undermine the purpose of a replacement part, so key output, USB compatibility and the existing installation requirements were central to the project.
Russian/Cyrillic legends were required for local technicians. The layout and key mapping needed to correspond to the service workflow, while the connector, cable route and mechanical fit had to be considered together. An encrypted EPP architecture was not required for this maintenance-only input function.
A service keypad, not an encrypted PIN pad
The keypad had to support technician diagnostics and configuration with the correct Russian layout, USB connection and key mapping while remaining separate from cardholder PIN-entry equipment.
DAVOLIN Solution
DAVOLIN confirmed the non-encrypted maintenance application and configured a stainless steel keypad with Russian/Cyrillic legends and USB connectivity. The project configuration uses 304 stainless steel, measures 160 × 102.4 mm and is rated IP54.
The layout and key output were matched to the existing service system so that technicians could continue familiar diagnostic and configuration tasks. Sample confirmation established the replacement configuration before formal procurement.
Configured for ATM maintenance and spare-parts replacement, separate from cardholder PIN-entry equipment.

Selected Product
Non-Encrypted ATM Maintenance Keypad
A Russian-language service keypad for ATM diagnostics, configuration and repair. The 304 stainless steel unit uses USB connectivity and a 160 × 102.4 mm panel, with IP54 protection.
Project Result
After sample confirmation, the keypad entered formal procurement and was used for ATM maintenance and spare-parts support. It worked with the existing maintenance system without requiring a redesign of the main controller.
The result was a practical replacement input component for equipment already in service, allowing the maintenance company to continue supporting diagnostics, repair and configuration work.

Looking Ahead
The approved configuration provides a replacement route as supported ATMs continue to require servicing and spare parts. Requirements for other ATM models can be reviewed individually, including key legends, key output, mounting and connection details.
